My name is Briski, and I’m a Southerner who loves telling stories. I use words to entertain, incite laughter, and make people think. Stories can set people free and keep imaginations active. Languages vary, but the love of a good story is universal. No matter what language I write in, with each story I create I have the potential to connect with anyone in the world. People can also connect across languages through proverbs, metaphors, and other similar phrases. I decided to do this podcast as a way to explore the origins of some of these phrases we use everyday, as a further way to connect to people through words and stories.
